Hello 2021

Suffice to say, everyone has been looking forward to the end of 2020, which for obvious reasons, was one of the weirdest, challenging years we’ve experienced as a global community in modern times. I’m happy to say that for most part my husband and I got through the year relatively unscathed but we’ve seen a lot of friends and businesses go through some rough times.

InstagramThankfully, no one I know contracted the virus so I’m definitely thankful for good health. I know the prognosis is good for most healthy adults under 60, but I still didn’t need the hassle of being sick AND needing to quarantine. Staying home was hard in many ways but looking at how taxing COVID is proving to be in other countries, I’m happy to put on a mask and hang out at home!

Anyway, you may or may not have noticed my absence online lately but it’s got nothing to do with the pandemic. If anything, my husband and I have had some very satisfying (and safe) Hotwifing moments in 2020. Towards the end of last year though, I lost a huge chunk of traffic coming into this blog. This is the second time a massive drop in daily views has happened to me and let’s just say, it takes the wind out of a blogger’s sails!

I don’t by any means make a lot of money from my blog, but it was nonetheless pretty disheartening to see my traffic get halved almost overnight. I didn’t delve deeply into the cause but it would seem that the term ‘Hotwife’ has some keyword value now in Googleland, and other commercial websites have started to use it to rank higher. What this means is that less people will find my blog organically through a Google search. Instead, they may get links to Hotwifing porn sites instead.

Then, to rub salt into the wound, my Instagram account was finally terminated. I had been sent warnings previously for posts that apparently went against Community Guidelines (even years after they were first posted…), and their most recent policy update meant that a photo of me in a bathtub covered in bubbles was the last straw. I had close to 4000 followers there, which really isn’t much, but being deleted sure deflated my enthusiasm for posting free, creative content.

So in a nutshell, I got into a sort of online funk. I was already experiencing what I called Twitter Fatigue, but with my two other social platforms letting me down, I felt ready to throw in the towel. Christmas was fast approaching and to be honest, I just had too much going on in my real world to care about my online presence. I effectively checked out and it was fantastic! Perhaps, like everything else I had to take a break from in 2020, I just needed to get offline for a while.

Staying largely offline gave me a chance to think about what I wanted to do moving forwards. People still find and enjoy my blog, and while I think I’ve written pretty much all that can be written about Hotwifing (at least from my point of view), I still enjoy writing and answering questions about the lifestyle. I’ll still therefore be posting content here as I think of topics. It may go back to being more of a diary of my personal experiences. We’ll see!

I’m back on Instagram (like all naughty people, I had a backup account) so I’ll post some PG shots there and save all the Not-Safe-For-Instagram content for Only Fans and Twitter. It’s fun pushing the envelope with Instagram but no so much when your account gets deleted! I’m still thinking of starting up a line of playwear/lingerie so this may be a 2021 goal.

So I’m still here, and very happy to be. I truly hope everyone has a much better year in 2021.
